Travel very often? In this case you can consider getting you and your family covered by buying annual travel insurance. Many Singaporeans and people working long term here travel several times a year to places like Thailand, Malaysia, or to some nearby Indonesia’s island for just a short weekend getaway.

What is an Annual plan, or Multi-Trip Travel Insurance?

This type of insurance is suited for frequent travelers and if you are one of them, you may want to consider getting such kind of plans for you and your family.

The advantage of annual travel insurance is you do not need to buy travel insurance every time you travel. This is very convenient to frequent travellers. This also gives you the assurance and peace of mind that if any mishaps or danger happens outside your country, you’re always covered.

Due to the fact that you’re not a mind reader, it’ll be unable to tell what’s in store for you, and if you’ll come across an unexpected situation that can change your life dramatically.

Why annual or multi-trip travel insurance? It’s quite obvious. Each time you travel, your trip will be worry-free. So, whatever your reason for traveling is, you’ll get the assurance you need that no matter what happens outside the country, you will have protection, and be well-taken cared of.

Annual travel insurance is available in different plans. Firstly, make sure the plan you choose suits your traveling needs. Make a list of what you need to do to assess your traveling requirements or you even want to compare several existing policies.

Benefits of Annual Plan (Multiple Trip Plan) for frequent traveller:

1. The premium for an Annual Plan is usually much cheaper if you are to activate a travel insurance each time you travel. That means you SAVE MONEY!

2. An Annual Plan covers UNLIMITED NUMBERS OF TRIPS you make in a policy period. Even you cross the causeways to our neighbour Malaysia for a day shopping trip, or take a boat trip to Bintan or Batam for a day golfing, you are covered.

3. You do not need to activate a travel insurance each time you travel. That saves you TIME.

4. An Annual Plan removes the risk of you forgetting to activate a travel coverage  for any trip. A travel insurance is only considered valid when it’s activated before departure, ie, before you leave Singapore. An Annual Plan saves you all the HASSLES to remember turning on a travel insurance.

HOWEVER, HOWEVER… do take note of the following: Trip Duration “Per Trip” in a Single Trip plan means one trip which does not exceed 182 consecutive days. “Annual Multi-Trip” means multi trips over the annual period specified in the policy schedule where each trip shall not exceed 90 consecutive days from the date of departure to the date of return to Singapore.

You can refer to the policy document wordings for more details.
